It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved one Rosevelt Acoff, who left us on June 28, 2024. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an exceptional member of his family and friends. Born on April 19, 1952, in Cleveland, Mississippi. Rosevelt was the child of Sanders Kinsey and Larrine Acoff Carter, both preceded him in death.
With many talents and skills, he shined shoes as a kid. He served in the AirForce, was a chef, realtor agent, hotel accountant manager, store manager, taxicab driver, and a line maintenance worker. He also played various instruments: piano, horn and guitar. He also wrote a book.
Rosevelt leaves behind his wife, Rebecca Acoff, two sons, Rosevelt Acoff Jr., Franklin Alexander Acoff, and one daughter, Lorraine Naomi Acoff.
Preceded in death two brothers Tarzalee Acoff, and Gordon Alexander Edwards, and one sister Maggiree Acoff. He also leaves behind three sisters, Lorie Bendinger (Gary), Katherine Thomas, and Wanda Angela Eleven Carter. Three brothers, Riley Julius Acoff, Kevin Fortia Carter (Lisa), and Johnny Kimball Carter (Tina). Along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews, Cousins and Close Friends.
The family of Rosevelt Acoff would like to express their sincere appreciation to McDougal Funeral Home, Doctors and Staff of the University of Utah Hospital, for all cards, prayers, visits, and acts of Kindness shown during our time of bereavement. "May God Bless You All"
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024, 11:00 a.m., McDougal Celebration of Life Center, 4306 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah with a viewing 9-10:45 a.m. prior to the 11:00 a.m.service. Cremation will follow the services.
