Roy Anderson

Roy Anderson passed away surrounded by his family on December 28, 2017 at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Roy was born in Cedar City, Utah on October 11, 1935 to Art and Leola Anderson. He moved to White Pine County, Nevada in 1955. He married Rae Marie Haslem on September 28, 1957 and together they raised seven children: Pam Anderson (deceased 2012), JaNall Black, Denise Anderson, Clark Anderson, Marie (Tim) Jorgensen, Bryce Anderson, Ken Anderson. They are also blessed with 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He worked for Kennecott Copper Corp. in the McGill and Ruth operations until 1978, then transferred to the Magna, Utah operation. He retired from KCC in 1988 and went to work for SCP Heating until 1999. He enjoyed many years of camping, hunting, and fishing with friends and family. Roy is preceded in death by his parents; sister Eva Lou; brother Larry; and daughter Pam. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Interment will be held later in the year.
