Rupert Levi Prettyman died peacefully from complications of diabetes. Rupert Levi Prettyman was born in Grand Junction, Colorado on September 26, 1938. Rupert graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, Utah and served an LDS mission in France, Belgium and Switzerland. Rupert also served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant. He worked as a graphic artist for the State of Utah and supervisor over State of Utah Motor Pool. Rupert is preceded in death by his parents Linda and Gordon Prettyman; and his sister Berlinda Hawkins. He is survived by his spouse, Kathy Prettyman; two sons, Steven (DeAnn) and Brian; sister Orlinda Prettyman, sister Betty Tolman (Jon); brother Terry Prettyman (Sherri). The Prettyman family wishes to thank Liberty Dialysis Oquirrh, Intermountain Medical Center, University of Utah hospital and Care Source Hospice for their service and kindness. Graveside services will be held Monday, March 21, 1:00 p.m. at Elysian Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South. A viewing will be held prior to services at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road from 10:00-12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Diabetes Association. .
