Ruth Hanna Hemingway Bienz

Ruth passed away peacefully at home in Taylorsville on June 19, 2023. Ruth was born January 28, 1931, in Salt Lake City, Utah, one of five children of Hjalmar Hanna and Tresa Taylor. Ruth grew up in the Fairpark area of Salt Lake City, and attended the Jackson School. Ruth married Elliott Hemingway and they had four children together. Ruth later married Elmer Bienz and spent many years living in the Taylorsville area.

Ruth loved a good joke and laughing with others. She will be remembered for her quick, bright smile.

Ruth is survived by her four children Ralph, Patricia, Sandra (Don) Loudenback, Donald and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both her husbands, her parents, siblings Luella, Mary, Alvin, Vernon and granddaughter Amber.

A brief viewing for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., followed immediately by the funeral service at the Taylorsville Gardens Ward, 4252 South Bennion Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Interment at Valley View Cemetery, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
