Ruth Ellen Wees 1931 ~ 2011 Ruth Ellen Wees passed away Sunday night, November 6, 2011, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death, in thought and form. She will be remembered for her feistiness and missed for the depth of her capacity for friendship. Ruth was born Edith June Tillotson, May 23, 1931 in Douglas, MN, the sixth of seven children. Ruth was a long time resident of South Lake Villa Apartments in Salt Lake City. Ruth was a true friend and maintained contact with high school friends throughout her lifetime. She was a devout Jazz fan and loved the Broncos. She played the piano and worked on puzzles. Ruth took comfort in her salvation by faith in Christ, and found peace at the end of her life in the writings of the Dalai Lama. She is survived by children: Deborah (Bob) Fulmer, Victoria Kerns, Daniel (Laura) Wees, Robert (Denise Beck) Wees, Carrie; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren (and their loving, supportive spouses); siblings, Dorothy and James, of Minnesota. We would like to thank the staff and care givers of Woodland Park Care Center. Her remains will be placed next to our father s at Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
