Ruth Eugene Crane Powell Brown

Ruth Eugene Crane Powell Brown passed away August 22, 2018 at the age of 89 surrounded by her family. Ruth was born December 23, 1928 in Salina, Utah to Edwin Eugene and Clothel Stevenson Crane. She married Glen K. Powell on January 28, 1946. Together, they had 3 children. Glen passed away in 1953. Ruth married Blaine Brown who brought 3 children into the marriage; a son born from that union. They were later divorced. Ruth served in many church callings including; MIA, primary and RS. She enjoyed being with her large family and friends. Ruth is survived by her children Charlene (LaMont) Burningham, Doug (Debby) Brown, Robert (Delsa) Powell, Earl (Betty) Brown, Marie (Wayne) Christiansen, Garn (Carol) Brown, Mark (Marylin) Unsworth; her sister Patti (Geneo) Olson; and all her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband, Glen Powell; Vickie Unsworth (daughter); Mathew Brown (grandson); Sharmaine Unsworth (granddaughter); her parents Edwin and Clothel Crane; sisters Vondeen Neilson and Helen Weum; and husband Blaine Brown. A very special thanks to Maria, Julia, Isabelle and Joelle, who gave loving care to Ruth. We also extend our thanks to the many hospice people at CNS, who provided care and support for our mother. Funeral services for Ruth will be Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10 AM, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road in Taylorsville UT. Visitation 9-9:40 AM.
