Ruthagene I Spry

October 6, 1920 — June 30, 2017

Ruthagene I. Spry passed peacefully on June 30, 2017. She was born October 6, 1920 in Webb City, Missouri to John and Ruby Marsh. Ruth was a very giving and caring person and never knew a stranger. She loved to tell about her many travels and experiences. Her family and friends were her joy. When visitors would come to Ruth's home they would rarely leave empty handed. She loved to make various crafts and blankets and loved to share all of them with her friends and family. She derived much satisfaction from making things for various charity sales as well. She was a kind hearted soul even though she had lived through trying times. She learned to be frugal, but was very eager to share. Ruth also loved to travel and meet new people. She and Max had visited all but 1 of the 50 states, and Canada and Mexico. She would light up when she talked about the places she had been and the people she met. She was stoic to the end and even made us laugh when it was clear she had begun her final journey. She faced death with grace and courage, much like she faced adversity all her life. We will miss you! Preceded in death by her parents; her husband Max; brothers Orville and Max; her son Mikel; and her daughter Marsha. She is survived by her son-in- law Terry Lynn; grandson Mike (Shauna) Lynn; and two great-granddaughters Chelsie (Jared) Davis and Mikenzie (Alex) Lynn. Per her instructions, a graveside memorial will be held on Saturday, July 8th, 3:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4391 West 4100 South. Place of Birth:Webb City, MissouriPlace of Death:Cottonwood Heights, Utah
