On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, Samuel Hal Busch, beloved husband, uncle, brother and son, passed away suddenly in his sleep at the age of 42 years. Raised in Kirtland, New Mexico and a graduate of Taylorsville High School in Utah, Sam served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He especially loved serving the Hopi people in Polacca, Arizona. When he met his wife Rachel he knew right away that she was the one, and they were married on Sept 14, 2002, in the Manti Temple. He worked a variety of jobs, including security, serving people with special needs, and in sales. Wherever he worked he enjoyed interacting with people and was well loved by his coworkers and the people he served. Sam was a hard worker and didn't let physical challenges get in his way. Sam enjoyed sports and the band Chicago. He especially loved church history, and he and his wife served as temple workers. He was a gentle soul and will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Sam is survived by his mother Laurel Busch; his brother Andrew Busch; his sisters Johanna Taylor and Annika Coleman; and seven nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his eternal companion Rachel Bissell Busch; his father Owen Busch, Jr.; and by his older brother Joseph Busch. Funeral services will be held at the Walnut Hills chapel at 5938 West 6200 South in Kearns, Utah, on Monday, October 15th. A viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. and the funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Elysian Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South.
