Scott J. Simonsen

Scott J. Simonsen peacefully passed from this life on November 15, 2018 at the age of 77 to join his beautiful wife Patty, whom he dearly missed, their daughter Emily, twin sons, his parents and siblings. He is survived by his children Jeff (Heather), Spencer (Barbara), Jill (David) Tatton, Jason (Kristi), Nancy (Randy died 2015) Gifford, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and sister Patsy Kay. Scott was born in Emery, Utah on December 13, 1940 to Merville and Zola Simonsen. His family eventually moved to Salt Lake City, where he attended Granger and Cyprus High Schools. It is at this time he met the love of his life (Patty). They were married on March 1, 1963, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Scott loved many things in life, his family was number one on the list. He enjoyed family history and served a mission at the Family History Center, sports, being outdoors, riding his John Deere lawnmower and attending many of his grandchildren's events. He was a faithful member of the Church and served diligently his entire life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A viewing will be held prior to the services on Friday, November 23 , 2018, 10:00-11:30 am, funeral 12:00-1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12600 South 4080 West, Riverton, Utah.
