Sharon Abrams Jenks (Nona), 72, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones after a short battle with cancer.
Sharon was born in Ogden, Utah, on December 17, 1951. She grew up in Utah. She graduated from Jordan High School.
She married Bill Lamping in 1972 with whom she had 4 beautiful sons. She then married Jack Jenks in 1995 where she welcomed 6 more stepchildren with open arms. She has 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She dedicated her life to her beloved family, students, and church. She was sunshine personified and made connections with every person she met. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Cathy, and her brother Doug. She is survived by four children; James, Jeff, Cam, Chris, and six stepchildren; Kristin Martin, Wendy Wilson, Michelle Freeman, Marc Jenks, Nicole Thomas, and Mandi Jenks.
Services will be held at Garden Cove Ward LDS meetinghouse at 8539 South 2200 West, West Jordan, Utah, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. The viewing will take place from 9-10:45, the service will start at 11, and the graveside service will follow at Sandy City Cemetery, 700 East 9000 South, Sandy, Utah.
