Shawn D. Weeks Key Robot Shawn Daniel Weeks, age 34, was finally released from years of pain and suffering when he died Friday, March 30, 2012. He was born September 5, 1978 in Casper, WY, the adopted son of Jack and Judy Weeks. After his parents divorced, Shawn moved to Salt Lake City with his mother in 1983 and attended schools in the Granite School District, graduating from Granger High School in 1997. Married Shiena Brereton July, 2000; later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. This union produced two precious boys; later divorced. Diagnosed with Crohn s Disease, constant pain was the norm. Even though he was tormented inside for the last few years of his life, Shawn had a gift for always putting a smile on the faces of others and bringing them joy. He liked nothing better than spending time with his boys, often expressed his feelings through poetry, and had a beautiful singing voice that will now be enjoyed by the angels. At an early age he found he could whistle and used the talent to summon the boys from where ever they were. Survived by mother, Judy Weeks-Rohner; father, Jack W. Weeks Jr.; sons Parker Daniel and Braden Shawn; grandmother, Clara Rooks, Ft. Collins, CO; numerous aunts, cousins, half-sister, uncle and friends. Preceded in death by maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents and an uncle. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 3875 W. 4100 S. A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any Zions Bank to an education fund for the two most important people in his life-his sons, Parker and Braden.
