Shelley Dawn Barney

Shelley Dawn Muir Barney, 50, passed away October 28, 2013.Born November 28, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Golden R. and Janice J. Johnson Muir. She graduated from Tooele High School where she had been very active with the swim team and President of the teams' sponsor organization. Attended college one semester at BYU-Hawaii, then a semester at Dixie College, St. George, UT. She worked for 27 years in JC Penney's accounting division, downtown SLC, as "Lead" in the Supplier Control Division, retiring in March, 2009, due to health.Survived by parents; siblings: Pamela Dee (Ronald) Griffin, Michael J. (Debra) Muir, Robert J. (Susan) Muir, Judy Lynn (Mark) Statham; foster sister Maxine Etter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS 18th North Ward, 135 A Street where a viewing will be held Saturday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
