Sherrie Pando

Sherrie Lynn Pando, our loving and precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife, passed away in the early morning on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the age of 78 in Las Vegas, Nevada, while on a family weekend. She fought a hard and courageous battle, but surrounded by love, she found her wings.

Though our loss is profound, we find comfort in the joyous reunion taking place in heaven. Sherrie once again wraps her loving arms around her son, Brett Steven Pando, and is surrounded by her parents, Alfred and Nora Searle, her siblings, Larry, Gordon, Butch, Joe, and Brett Searle, and many more loved family members.

Sherrie's passion was her family, and she will always be the heart and soul of ours. Her happiness was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she was immensely proud of each of them. Her heart and joy grew larger with every addition to her family. Sherrie found happiness in simple pleasures: coffee on the back porch with Benji, getting lost in moving music, the Hallmark Channel love stories, savoring good food, cooking family favorites, Monday morning coffee with the crew, finding the perfect bargain, and spending time with her family. She also loved traveling. She was always excited to head out in the motorhome on the way to go camping, boating, and off-roading. She was happy going everywhere from a quick trip to Wendover, cruising, or taking her dream trip to Italy. She loved to set out on a new adventure.

Sherrie's sweetness is legendary, and her love was warm and true. Whether you were family, friend, or stranger, she treated everyone with the same kindness and acceptance. Sherrie had an unmatched inner strength. That strength gave her the rare ability to always persevere. Her strength and her unwavering love and support for her family truly defined her. Her superpower was her fierce and unconditional love.

She will be deeply and sorrowfully missed by her true love of 58 years, Floyd D. Pando; her children: Billie (Mike), Floyd (Brandy), and Don (Ryanna); her grandchildren: Chelsy (Jasen), Mallory (Jayson), Nick, Zigmond (Elizabeth), Brooklyn (Gabe), Vincent, Blaire, and Travis; and her great-grandchildren: Olivia, Jovi, Rylee, and Jocelynn. She is also survived by her siblings Bill, Pat, and Cindy, and many more cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sherrie's legacy is a reminder to all of us; be kinder, love more, celebrate the happiness of others, and be there to listen.

You can rest now, Grandma Sherrie. We will move forward with the strength you showed us every day. We will carry your love in our hearts, and we will continue to honor the amazing woman you were.

A visitation will take place on Monday, April 14, 2025, 6:00 ot 8:00 PM at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Funeral Mass will be on Tueday, April 15, 2025, 11:00 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church located at 7405 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah. Interment to follow the Mass at Redwood Memorial Estates.
