Sherrie Wilde

Sherrie Dee (Walton) Wilde, born March 26, 1944, passed peacefully on Christmas Day.

Sherrie was born to Irven L. Walton and Elizabeth (Griffin) Walton in Salt Lake City, UT. Sherrie married J. Lynn Wilde in the Salt Lake Temple (later divorced) and has 5 children William Scott Wilde (wife Kim Wilde), Jeffrey Allen Wilde (husband Corey Wilde), Jami Lyn Anderson (husband Jed) Michael Andrew Wilde (wife Randilee) and Christopher Paul Wilde (wife Aya).

Sherrie and her sister Betty Jean (Walton) Stout were the best of friends growing up and were always known as the "Inseparable Walton Girls". Combined with Betty's children, the 8 children always had two moms. Their motto was always, "grab a nose and wipe". Sherrie also leaves behind 15 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren and her best friend, her partner in crime, Betty Jean.

Grandma Sherrie lived to love her grandbabies and showered them with candy and gifts with every visit. They all knew how much they were loved and carry fond memories of pampered sleepovers, beautiful garden flowers, and the occasional slip and slide. They also knew how much grandma loved an ice-cold Coke. Our mom was always the first adult to join a neighborhood water fight or start a midnight game of kick the can on our street. Sherrie was also a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived to serve those around her.

The Family would like to thank the amazing staff at Crescent Living Center for their loving and dedicated service during mom's stay.

In memory of Sherrie, services will be held Tuesday, January 7th starting with a viewing at 10:00 am and funeral services beginning at 11:00 am., Meadowlark Ward House, 2180 Meadowlark Way, Sandy, UT 84093.

Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East Bengal Blvd. (7800 South), Cottonwood Heights.
