All of us are going to leave this world when our probation period is over, my way just happens to be cancer. The bad news is that it takes awhile. The good news is that it gives you time to reminisce and contemplate your life's journey. For a "control freak" like me it gives you the opportunity of writing your own obituary. I was born April 2, 1943 in Springville, Utah. My brother, Jesse Dee, and I were adopted December 22, 1952 by Austin and LaWana Dittmore and sealed to them in the SLC Temple June 14, 1953. The family moved from Lindon to Orem in June of 1952 where I attended Hillcrest Elementary, Lincoln Jr. High and graduated from Orem High School. I moved to Salt Lake and continued my education at Excelcis Beauty College. During this period I met Michael, and after getting engaged, moved back home and enrolled at Hollywood Beauty College where I received my teaching degree. Michael and I were married June 18, 1964 in the SLC Temple. We were blessed with two children. I pursued more schooling and received an esthetician license. I loved teaching and sandwiched a great career between being a wife, mother and homemaker. A life-long and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, my belief in the hereafter is steadfast. My love of our Savior Jesus Christ is full of gratitude and awe. I feel Michael and I selflessly served others and gave each other full support in our various callings. Together, we served two missions: one in the Ivans Ward, the next at the state prison in their Family History department. My first love has always been music. Nothing affects the heart and soul more than good music. I was fortunate to participate in wonderful choirs and was given the opportunity to write and direct some of their programs. I loved putting puzzles together, going to our cabin, and riding around the country with my husband on our big Honda Goldwing. Hobbies: interior design, gardening, refinishing old furniture and many more. Survived by husband Michael O'Brien Caulfield; children Wendy Acord (Gary), Brien Caulfield (Karalee); grandchildren Michaelann Acord, Cayden Caulfield, Clinton and Savannah Calder; brother Jesse Dittmore (Shirley); sisters Marcia Schweppe (Leroy), Mae Grant, Leslie Snarr (Erik).
