Shirley Bruse Lowrance "Together Forever" Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend was born September 28, 1926 in American Fork, Utah, the eleventh of twelve children, to Viva Beal and James Albert Snape. She passed away January 7, 2014 with her children at her bedside. She was married to Francis Gayle Bruse January 21, 1946 and later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death October 10, 1968. Active in the LDS Church including service as president of the Primary, Young Women's and Relief Society, and as a full time missionary. October 17, 1969 she married JW Lowrance Jr. and they served a mission together in the Tallahassee, Florida mission, 1982-83, followed by service together in the Jordan River Temple for 20 years. Jack preceded her in death January 18, 2010. Survived by daughters Susan (Rex) Beaird, Lisa (Gary) Johnson; sons Todd (Rolayne) Bruse, Rick Bruse; daughter-in-law Colleen Bruse; sister Dorthy Bradford; stepchildren Jackie (Hugh) Wilson, Dan (Elaine) Lowrance, Ken (Linda) Lowrance and Mari (Anthony) Chavez; 37 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son Barry, April 9, 1992; parents; brothers Al and Jay; sisters Vera, Lila, Evelyn, Iva, Gladys and Velma. Our sincere thanks for the loving care given for the past 8 years by the many CNAs and nurses at Copper Ridge Health Care, Lynn Holgate, her hairdresser, Rose, Rhonda and Janele, at Absolute Compassion Hospice, and Chaplan Harold Straughn. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014, 1:30 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where viewings will be held Friday, January 10, 2014, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, 12:00-1:15 p.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
