Shirley Janet Tonge Bruehl 1932 ~ 2013 Shirley Janet Tonge Bruehl, 80, passed away in Salt Lake City on April 18, 2013. She was born in Salt Lake City on September 1, 1932 to Lawrence and Vivian Tonge. Married Junior August Bruehl on August 1, 1949. She enjoyed her family and friends. Was involved with the cub scouts for many years. Worked for Safeway, Mervyns and Great American Insurance. Survived by her children: Valorie Hayes, Steve Bruehl, Rick (Lori) Bruehl, Jeff (Tami) Bruehl, Corey (Tina) Bruehl; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. Brothers, Glen Tonge, Terry (Nancy) Tonge, Jerry (Becky) Tonge; sister, Lois McNeil; sister-in-law, Evelyn (Doug) Tonge. Preceded in death by her husband, Junior Bruehl; parents; infant daughter, Tammy Bruehl; brothers, Ronnie & Doug Tonge; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Tonge. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 22, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a viewings will be held Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 10-11:00 a.m. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates.
