Shirley Ruth Stock Dimond

Shirley Dimond Grandma Shirley Shirley Ruth Stock Dimond passed, at age 87, with her family by her side May 28, 2013. Shirley was born to her proud parents, Lawrence Rattery and Emily Fern Martin Stock March 4, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended South High, University of Utah and then BYU after the birth of her last daughter. Mom lived her life like she ate meals, dessert first. Her family was her true joy. She loved nature, walks, birds and flowers, always taking time to smell the roses and enjoy each experience to the fullest. You would not find her without a bright flower in her hair and soft pink lipstick. The birth of each child brought her much joy . . . Peggy (Lalo) Archuleta, Stephen Dimond (deceased), Dauna (Roy) Thomas, Earlynn (Goff) Leyer, Holly (Craig) Cedarstrom. She had 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Her siblings are Ivy (deceased), Elaine (Ralph) Hancock, Marlin Joe Stock, Blair Stock (deceased), and Grant Zook Stock (deceased). Thank you to Hazen Care Center and all the wonderful staff who loved and cared for our mother. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where visitation with family and friends will be, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
