Simona Baldacchino DeSimone

On the morning of October 28, 2019, Simona suffered a terrible stroke. Earlier that same morning, after waking up, Simona had family scripture reading, said her morning prayers and then talked to her husband about their work for the day. This daily ritual shows what Simona’s main priorities were. Never recovering from the effects of the stroke, Simona passed away peacefully on November 7, 2019.

Simona was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a light for all those who were around her. She was a hard worker, motivated by her limitless love for her family...always putting them first before herself. Simona was born and raised in Italy. She married Massimiliano Giuseppe De Simone and have been married for 23 years. They have 3 wonderful children: Alessio, Sofia and Matteo.
After joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in their native Italy, their love of and for the United States brought them to Utah in December of 2014 and they have lived here ever since.

Simona is survived by her husband, Massimiliano; her children: Alessio, Sofia and Matteo; her parents, Stefano Baldacchino and Agnese Rubertelli; 1 brother and 1 sister; as well as countless friends who consider her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would kindly appreciate donations to the GoFundMe account that has been set up in her name to assist with the unexpected medical bills associated with her sudden passing.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Simona's life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at the Garden Park 3rd Ward, 11543 South Keystone Drive, South Jordan, Utah.
