It is with great sorrow that we report the passing of Steven Arlin Morrell on December 26th, at the age of 80, after suffering a severe stroke. Born to Arlin Hiette Morrell and Hazel Gomm Morrell on November 14, 1935. Steven was known to all as a loving and kind person, who loved helping others and he lived a life of service to others. As a proud member of US Army, he served our Country in Vietnam. He continued his service to others in many capacities, including time in Iraq, serving the US coalition Soldiers at the Baghdad Airport, and spent over a year in Waveland Mississippi working with victims of Hurricane Katrina. He was always the first one to lend a helping hand when one was needed and was a hard worker. Steven is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Morrell; his parents Arlin Hiette Morrell, Hazel Gomm Morrell; Step Mother Gwen Westover; brothers, Steven Jones, Matthew Morrell and Richard Morrell; and his sister Rebecca Morrell. Steven is survived by his seven children David Morrell, Jeffrey Morrell, Kimberly Topping, Lance Morrell, Bret Morrell, Marci (del Solar) Morrell and Aaron Morrell; his 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; brothers Stanley H. Morrell, William Morrell, Walter Morrell, Paul Morrell, Phil Morrell, Jon Morrell, Joseph Morrell, Shaun Morrell, Thomas Morrell, Johnny Morrell; sister Katherine (Kate) Craighead; and an abundant amount of nieces and nephews. Steven's greatest treasures on earth were his children, family and friends. His laughter, kindness and loving personality will be greatly missed by many! Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30th, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10-10:45 a.m.Burial will take place Thursday, December 31st, 12:00 noon, Enoch City Cemetery, Enoch Utah.
