Steven Norby, age 60, passed away November 26, 2017 after fighting leukemia for the past 18 months. He was born on November 23, 1957 to Robert and Mary Norby. He graduated from Granger High School. His career was spent as a pipe fitter installing fire protection sprinkling systems throughout Utah and adjoining states. During the last couple of years Steven began snow skiing at Beaver Mountain and thoroughly enjoyed being in the outdoors and the freedom skiing gave him. At the time he was living at his cabin near the city of Garden City at Bear Lake. He was known as a lover of life, enjoyed having fun, and doing what he wanted to do. Those many good friends who knew him loved him and were privileged to call him their friend. All of us were better people for having known him. After being diagnosed with Leukemia in May 2016, Steven fought courageously to withstand its effects. His daughter Talisha was constantly by his side during his countless treatments both at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and at home, constantly giving him encouragement and interfacing with doctors and nurses to understand the various treatments and medications and to insure her father was getting the best care possible.
