Randolph, NJ, Mr. Steven Toth, 97, died on March 4, 2017 at the Merry Heart Assisted Living Center. He was born in Passaic and grew up in Garfield. He was a member of the CCC'S - Civilian Conservation Corps, where he worked in Idaho's logging camps and New Jersey's Palisades construction. He then joined the U S Army Air Corps during WW II where he became a tail gunner in B-24 Liberator Bombers. After returning home he resided in Garfield, NJ, where he started his family. He then built his Auto Body business, Garfield Auto Refinishers where he worked until he retired. Steve became a partner with a friend in an ownership of 2 race horses. He was an avid bowler for many years and later in life enjoyed reading and walking his 5 miles, several times a week. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline (nee Rushworth) in 1997. He is survived by his son Steven (and Susan) Toth of Centerville, MD; and daughter Diane (and David) Porter of Randolph. He also leaves his 4 grandchildren: Brian (and Debbie), Cindy (and Tim), Tanya (and Dwight), and Kevin (and Brandy); and 8 great-grandchildren: Corinne, Andrew, Travis, Kierstin, Aiden, Landon, Madelyn, and Riley. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
