Susanna Marie Kolbet

Susanna (Sue) Marie Kolbet, 56, of West Valley City, Utah died Jan. 2, 2013, at the Salt Lake Regional Hospital in Utah. Per Sue's wishes, her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sat., Jan. 5, 2013 at the LDS church in West Valley City, Utah. A memorial service will also be held in her hometown of Alta Vista, Iowa on Sat. Jan. 12, 2013 from 2 to 4p.m. at the VFW hall. Sue was born Sept. 25, 1956 in New Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Donna (Rex) Kolbet. She graduated from New Hampton High School in 1974. Sue spent her life as a Registered Nurse and was working on her Master's Degree at the time of her death. Sue is survived by her mother, Donna Kolbet of Osage; One brother, Alan Kolbet of Alta Vista; and four sisters, Janet Hennigar of Dumont; Wanda (Dean) Folkers of Alta Vista; Sheila (Doug) Moritz of Osage; and Carmela (Loren) Slick of Alta Vista. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Keith (Jessica) Hennigar, Derek Hedrick, Andy and Mark Folkers, Amanda and Michael Moritz, Steven, Sean, and Shain Slick, and Samantha (Tommy) Pittman. She is also survived by four great nieces and a great nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Kolbet and both sets of Grandparents.
