Syble Christell Delong Kinsey

Syble Christell Delong Kinsey, aka “Christell”, was born in Flowery Branch, Georgia on May 19, 1942. Her late parent’s names are Beatrice Kate DeLong and Glyndon R. DeLong. On March 19, 2019 (age 76), she passed away from complications of cancer at IMC in Murray, Utah.

Christell graduated from South Hall High school. She worked at Cottonwood Hospital and Gwinnett Medical as a Central Processing Technician until retiring in 2007. Christell was the beloved wife to the late Ivan DeLoy Kinsey. She was then preceded in death by her daughter, Tonia Kinsey Shoemake.

Christell is survived by her sons, Glen D Kinsey (Julie) and Mark A Kinsey; daughter, Monica Kinsey Williamson. There is also her brother, Richard DeLong (Anne); and sister, Linda Turk. Along with her grandchildren, James DeLoy (JD) Shoemake, Christal Shoemake, Nick Kinsey, MacKenzie Shoemake, Kelsey Williamson McGahagin (Adam), Kasey Williamson, Shelbie Kinsey, Mandie Kinsey and Melanie Kinsey. She also leaves three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; and finally, her dog named Marley.

Crafting, making jewelry and playing cards with friends was just few of the many things she enjoyed doing. Castle Dale Baptist Church was another thing she was a member of. Donations in Christell’s name to the John & Karen Huntsman Cancer Center are welcomed and appreciated.

Family and friends are invited to the Viewing, Monday, March 25, 2019 from 2- 4pm. This will take place at McDougal Funeral Home, located at 4330 S Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT, 84123. She will be layed to rest later in Wanship, Utah.
