Sydnee Dawn Thorup Peterson

Sydnee Peterson, age 54, of Taylorsville, passed away at home unexpectedly on April 5, 2016. Sydnee was born March 19, 1962, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the sixth of nine children, to Bill and Sharon Thorup. She was married to Barry Peterson, June 19, 1985. With the exception of her mission to San Antonio, Texas (Spanish speaking), she spent her life in the Salt Lake Valley. She continued sharing her skills of the Spanish language through interpreting and had an immense love for the Hispanic people. She enjoyed music and shared her love through teaching piano to others. Sydnee also loved her crafts and baking, especially in the company of family. She was very dedicated to her family and serving those around her. She will be deeply missed. Sydnee is survived by her husband, Barry; daughters, Rachel, Amy (Jay) Shepherd, and Heather (Derric) Andelin; and son, Eric (Kim) and grandson, Brady. Preceded in death by her parents.
