Teresa Colleen Burgi Larsen, beloved matriarch of the Larsen Family, and the last of her generation in the family, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family after a painfully emotional 3 year struggle against the cruel illness Alzheimer's. She was our beloved Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Aunt and friend. She was born in Mammoth, Utah, 17 October 1929, to Ernest and Teresa Evans Burgi. She married Hayden Evans Larsen, 3 October, 1949, in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death December 2011. Colleen worked for many years managing ZCMI's gift wrapping department at the Valley Fair Mall, later retiring from Granger-Hunter Improvement District, and making lifelong friends at both. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in Primary, Scouting and Relief Society; her favorite being a visiting teacher and ward compassionate leader. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Kathleen; three brothers; and one sister. She leaves a legacy of love to her children James Michael (Deanna), Terry Hayden (Betty), Jeffrey Leonard (Caroll), Lisa Colleen and Gregory (Ann); 11 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild due in December; 9 step great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 7 at 11:00 am, with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45, at the Centennial Park Ward LDS Chapel, 3372 South Merry Lane, West Valley City, Utah. An additional viewing will be held Tuesday, September 6th, 6-8:00 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.Interment,Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City.
