Terrie Lee Johnson Bertelsen our mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away unexpectantly on January 1, 2025.
Terrie was born in Salt Lake City, raised in Bountiful and resided in West Valley City.
Terrie attended Utah State University then later married Kerry Cecil Bertelsen. They had three children, a daughter and two sons whom Terrie loved with all her heart. She never missed a game or an opportunity to cheer on her boys at little league games or throughout their lives.
She developed a love for reading at a young age that continued throughout her life.
During the last ten years, Terrie enjoyed her work as a wedding/event planner where she was able to apply her creative skills, hard work, and fun sense of adventure.
Terrie will be remembered for her love of camping in the desert, being a devoted NFL fan, her enthusiasm for Halloween, her wonderful sense of humor, and above all else her unconditional acceptance of others.
Terrie will be deeply missed, but forever loved by all who knew her.
Terrie is survived by her children, Jennifer Galloway, Easton (Ciara) Bertelsen; mother, Colleen Johnson; sisters, Kristine (Rick) Kramer, Kim Davis, Jen (Paul) Bush; grandchildren, Schuyler Cruz, Mikaila Pierce, and Ezekiel Bertelsen.
Terrie was preceded in death by her dad, OJ Johnson; her husband, Kerry Cecil Bertelsen; and was followed in death by her son, Erik Cecil Bertelsen.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 10, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville.
