Terry Joe Seaton

It is with much sadness we announce the passing of Terry Joe Seaton on April 14, 2016, unexpectedly, of natural causes. Terry was born October 4, 1955, on Agana, Guam, to William Joe Seaton and LaRayn Nelson Seaton. He is survived by his mother, LaRayn; brothers, Tracy (Billie) Seaton, and Troy (Sandy) Seaton; step-brother, Bryan Boon; step-sister, Penny Boon; nephew, Colton Seaton; niece; Carlie Seaton; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe; and brother, Tim. Terry was a master craftsman in the work he did for othersalways giving the best of everything he did. At 18-years-old, he was third runner up in the Mr. Texas teen weight lifter competition. He stayed with the sport until his passing; having won many awards. Terry was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce. It seems only yesterday my son when you played with your brothers three. A dog ran at your heals and nipped at your jeans. Your mind always coming up with some new, amazing adventure - often unknown to mom. Time passed so swiftly. I only turned around and you were grown. I picture you now walking through fields of green grass, a hill of wild yellow flowers, a dog still at your side. You reach the chest of the hill, turn and look back with a wave and a smile. I know you have found the path back home. No more pain. No more sorrow. Loved ones that have gone before greet you with a smile and welcome you home again. A viewing will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road in Taylorsville, followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Redwood Road in Bluffdale.
