Theda Lindsay Gomez

Our sweet and loving mother, mom, grandma, granny and great-grandma, passed away on September 2, 2015. Theda was born on December 20, 1926 to Willard and Minerva Lindsay. Lived in Park City and Keetley Utah, Rock Springs Wyoming, and Salt Lake City, Graduated from West High School in 1944. Theda married Albert Gomez on February 2, 1952. After Albert passed away in 1983, Theda attended the Salt Lake Community College and received an associate's degree in secretarial science. Worked at the Westside Senior Citizen's Center from 1984-1992. In 1993, Theda became the first president of the Kearns Senior Center. Theda was proud that she and the committee were able to assist the architects in the layout of the Kearns Senior Center. Theda is survived by children, Al (Linda) Gomez, Mark Gomez, JoAn (Lynn) Hanson, Bryan (Mary) Gomez; grandchildren Ashleigh, Randel, and Lisa; great-grandchildren Braxton, Kailen and Haven. Theda's family would like to thank all the aides and the nurse from the Legacy House of Taylorsville for their kindness and their caring for Theda. We would also like to thank Jonathan and the other hospice nurses from Aspire Home Health & Hospice for all their help in taking care of Theda. You guys are the best!!!!! A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at McDougal's Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah, where a viewing will be held prior to the service from 9-10:30 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road.
