Thelma Rushton Loving Mother Thelma Ruth Jenkins Rushton, age 94, passed away peacefully May 29, 2013 at her granddaughter s home in Tooele, Utah. Born June 12, 1918 in Magna, Utah, daughter of James Hirst and Hilma Matilda Ek Jenkins. Married Howard Leon Rushton March 27, 1937 in Magna, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Active member of the LDS Church, Thelma served in numerous callings including Primary and Relief Society. She and her husband served a work mission in Upland, California where they helped build the Pomona Stake Center. They also were some of the original ordinance workers in the newly completed Jordan River Temple. She loved cooking, needle point, crocheting and grew beautiful roses. Survived by children: James (Julia), Robert L. Bob (Evon), Marjorie (McKay) LeFevre, Kathryn (Ben) Sundblom, Sandra (Jim) Wheeler and Bruce (Colleen); 24 grandchildren ; 60 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; sister Ellen Williams Batt. Preceded in death by her husband, Howard; sisters Lorena, Evelyn and Elva. Special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice for their kind and loving care of mother. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013, 12:00 noon at the Centennial Park Ward, 3372 South Merry Lane (5275 W.) where a viewing will be held, 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
