Theodore (Ted) Allen Stevens, 85, of West Valley, Utah, returned to his Heavenly Father on December 18, 2015. Ted was born August 9, 1930 in Midvale, Utah to Charles LaVell and Rowena (Bunnell) Stevens. Ted worked for Ford Motor as a Parts & Service Sales representative for over 25 years. Ted later worked for McDougal Funeral Home and Valley View Funeral Home. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in the bishopric, as a high councilor and especially loved working with the youth as the stake Young Men's president. Ted was well known and loved for his sense of humor. He loved fishing, his pets, reading, painting, his Ford cars, and his church callings. Ted is survived by his sweetheart, Mollie Rose Hodgson; and his three daughters, Diane (Gary) Dietz, Donna (Bill) Johnson, and Julie (Jeff) Cross; sister Gay (Ron) Dixon; 16 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. Ted is preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather Alfred Walters; two sons, Jeffrey Allen Stevens and Scott Allen Stevens; his siblings Darlene Fox and Wayland Stevens. The family would like to express appreciation for the professional help from Holladay Health Care and Canyon Hospice. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2015, 12:00 p.m., at Jordan North 8th Ward, 3900 South 4000 West. Viewings will be held Monday, December 21, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Tuesday prior to services, 11-11:45 a.m. at the church.
