Trudy Price Bawden

"Grandma B", Mary Gertrude (Trudy) Price Bawden, 77, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones on February 22, 2016 after heroically facing a lifetime of health challenges. She was born March 15, 1938 and cherished by her parents, Hank & Mary Price. Trudy married her childhood sweetheart, Kent Howard Bawden, on June 8, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple. She is beloved by her husband; her daughters: Sandy (Karl) Jorgensen, Patty (Chet) Nichols, Julie (Doug) Howell, Mary (Eric) Dalling; 14 grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter. She had a lifetime love of music and especially loved to sing along with her daughters and grandchildren. Trudy was a devoted mother and took pride in taking care of her family. Trudy spent her life hand-in-hand with her dear husband never were two best friends more in love. She could make lifelong friends with practically anyone it was one of her greatest gifts. Trudy was an active member of the LDS church her entire life; and served in several positions, including Relief Society President for 6 years. Her greatest joy was supporting Kent in his various church callings. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 12:00 noon, at Taylorsville 12th Ward, 4505 S. Brians Way. Viewings will be held Friday, February 26, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and again prior to services at the church, Saturday, 10:30-11:40. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. A special thanks to the Taylorsville 12th Ward ; Monica, Sheila, and Merinda from Tender Care Hospice & the staff at Copper Ridge Health Care for treating our mom like their mom. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to Humanitarian Services and bake a pan of brownies to take to a neighbor, friend, or healthcare professional.
