Verllain Jensen Brewer

Our beloved spouse, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 80 passed away on September 8, 2017 at 6:39 am. Verllain was born in Murray, Utah on February 2, 1937 to Rulon Ephraim and Mary Thelma Jensen of Magna, Utah. She graduated from Cyprus High school and attended the LDS Business College. She married her sweetheart, Arthur Kay Brewer, in the Salt Lake Temple on November 16, 1956. She and Art settled in Taylorsville, Utah and there raised a family of 6 children. Her family was the light of her life. She knew and loved each one perfectly. She knew the birthday and hobbies of each family member and it was always a treat to receive one of her hand-made birthday cards. She enjoyed organizing and planning family traditions such as her annual Easter egg hunt and Christmas Eve dinner. She loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many positions. The church was very important to her. She strived to live the principles it taught. She was always engaged in helping others.She would give all she had and always paid a generous fast offering to help those in need. She loved music and was first chair violinist in her high school orchestra. She played the piano and loved to sing. She sang in many ward choirs and choral groups. She is survived by her husband and her children: Rick (Diana), Terry (Sandy), Connie Davis, Paul, Bobbie Ann (Matt) Dunkley, and Nanette (Mike) Palmer; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way. She was preceded in death by her brother Dale Jensen; sister Carol Hickman; and her parents. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 14th, 11:00 a.m., at the Taylorsville Gardens 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 4252 S Bennion Rd. Viewings will be held, Wednesday, September 13th, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT, and prior to services at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
