Vernon Ray Rigby 1947 ~ 2012 Beloved brother, father, grandpa and friend, Vernon Ray Rigby, 64, passed away February 6, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born March 22, 1947 in Garfield, Utah to Elden and Emilie Knecht Rigby. Married Loralie Kemp April 2, 1971. He served in the US Air Force. Enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved his students at Truman Elementary. Survived by children, Janell, Doug and Pamela; 9 grandchildren that he loved very much; sisters, Peggy, Judy and Debbie; lifelong friends, David and Pete; nieces and nephews; and numerous other friends. Preceded in death by parents; aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville 24th Ward, 2976 West Winchester (4275 S.). Viewings will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
