Verta K. Johnston Sweetest Mom Verta Kartchner Johnston passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2011 at the age of 94. She was born December 1, 1916 to William Zemira and Minnie Minerva Porter Kartchner in Blanding, Utah. Married Leslie Johnston July 3, 1937. Mom was one of the most unselfish women we have ever known. She was always concerned about the welfare of her family and helped take care of her grandchildren on many occasions.
