Veryl Don Kesler passed away on May 20, 2024, in Millcreek, Utah, at the age of 92. He was born on December 30, 1931, in Tooele, Utah part of nine siblings.
Veryl was born to Myrtle Lee and Albert Kesler in Tooele Utah one of nine siblings. He married Anna John's and had four children later divorced. Married Elaine Jensen Millcreek 1976 in the Salt Lake Temple. Survived by his children Dave Kesler (Jodi) Lori Hansen (Michael), Roger Kesler (Lisa) Neil Kesler and 8 grand children, 18 great children, 6 great great grandchildren.
Dad worked his early years at the Tooele Smelter and Tooele Army Depot. He also loved being a milk man for Winder Dairy for 16 years. After he married Elaine they moved to Alaska where they worked on the slope at Prudhoe Bay, and numerous jobs.They both loved being in Alaska and stayed there for 20 years and had many adventures. They came back to Salt Lake in 1992 and moved back to Taylorsville where Elaine passed in 2000. During these next years he worked at the Deseret Industries, and then volunteered for many years with his friend Dick at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints girls camp. Dad lived in Taylorsville until entering Cottonwood Creek assisted living in January this year.
He loved to be with his family riding motorcycles in the west desert, but also loved his dogs later in life. Buddy and Zoey were both labradors. They were his buddies and took care of him in his last years here on earth. His family is eternally greatful to his dogs as well as the staff at Cottonwood Creek who took such wonderful and tender care of our Dad in his last days.
Services will be held at the Taylorsville 15th Ward, 1450 Atherton Drive, on Thursday May 23rd, 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held prior to service at 10:00am.
Graveside services 2:30 p.m. at Redmond Cemetery 200 West 500 North, Redmond Utah.
