Vickie Joy Steadman Bartlett

June 18, 1948 — September 21, 2016

Vickie passed away on September 21, 2016 in South Jordan at her daughter's home, surrounded by loved ones, after a very brave battle against Melanoma. Vickie was born and raised in South Jordan by her mom Ilene Beckstead McDougal. She was a proud graduate of the original Bingham Miners High School in Copperton. She married Carl Green and they had two children, later divorced. She married Gordon Bartlett and built their life in West Jordan. Vickie, with great pride and compassion, spent all of her life taking care of those closest to her, especially her grandchildren with special needs. She was the proud fur-mom to many spoiled dogs, which were also her life and joy. Vickie is survived by: her husband, Gordon Bartlett; her children Gina Pola-Money (Anthon Money), Steven (Raymary) Green; her Grandchildren; Chaston (Ashlee) Pola, Payton Pola, AJ Money, Brady Green, Abbey Green, Tyson Green; her step-children, Lisa Bartlett and her sons, Jovi Scholl, Mason Cowie and Jason Bartlett and his son Jaxon; her inherited daughter by choice, Sherrie Borrell; her siblings Judy (Doug) Moncur, Randy (Jeannie) Steadman, Dan (Denise) McDougal; her step-siblings Claudia (Robert) Bandfield, Lynda (Eppie) Trujillo, Guy (Nancy) McDougal; her best friend, Kathy Reading and last but not least Peanuts and Peaches, her dedicated four-legged companions. She was preceded in death by her mother, her two precious grandsons, Tyson Pola and Bryton Pola, her son-in-law Jeff Pola and her many loving dogs that were patiently waiting for her on Rainbow Bridge. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday September 26, 2016 at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City. Funeral visitation is from 10:00-11:30. Final resting place will be at South Jordan Cemetery at a later date. Vickie was one of the most caring and passionate woman ever and wanted to help everyone but her wishes were very clear, in lieu of flowers please donate to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary or save an animal from homelessness and abuse.
