Victor Refugio Tapia, passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 25, 2021. He was born to Bonafacio and Raquel Arellano Tapia October 15, 1927, in Highland Roy, Utah. He married twice and later divorced. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and working with his hands. His greatest accomplishment was raising nine children. He served in the Army and received several medals. He worked at Tooele Army Depot for 28 years.
He is survived by children Vickie (Bob) Glatt from Washington State, Bernice (Richard) Medina from Utah, Maria Tapia from Utah; many grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and special friends Adolphina Luna and Vera Atencio.
He is preceded in death by mother; father; sister; two daughters; four sons; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, Utah, where viewings will be held Friday, August 3rd from 6-8:00 pm and prior to services from 9-10:00 am. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
