Victoria Martinez Montoya A Woman of Courage Victoria was born October 10, 1933 to Eutimo and Minnie Martinez in Pagosa Springs, CO. She left her large and loving family on Saturday September 3, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jose N Montoya; children: Elvira (Pat), Helen Victoria (Lee), Isabel (Dave), Joe (Ileta), Carlos (Diana), Billy (Angie), Cindy (Bret), Robert (Kristy), Andy; and loving daughter-in-law, Daniele; sister, Clara (Bennie); brother, Tim. Victoria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Nicolas A Estrada, and her son Marciano. As a young widow with eight young children Victoria knew the importance of courage, hard work and sacrifice. She worked with the Community Action Program for many years. She also gave her services as an aid working with the elderly and in customer service. She married Jose Montoya in 1968 and later they added two more sons to their family. Throughout her life Victoria showed strength, commitment, and tenacity towards life s challenges (and there were many) and conquered them all. She will be loved forever, missed deeply and appreciated for everything she has given us! Victoria had an undying love for her family. She leaves behind a posterity of 41 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren (with more to come), and many nieces and nephews. Victoria was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, an aunt, a grandma and most of all a friend. A Rosary and Vigil will be held Thursday September 8, 2011, 6 - 8 PM at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S Redwood Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 9, 2011, 11 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 3580 W 3650 S., West Valley City. Occupation:Social Worker
