Virginia Kay Thompson, 74, passed away on November 25, 2021, in Provo, Utah surrounded by her loving family. Mom has finally reunited with her forever sweetheart and we're sure it was a sweet reunion with Dad.

Virginia was born in Provo, Utah on October 9, 1947. She met and fell in love with our dad and were married and sealed in the Ogden Temple on April 12, 1975. Virginia and Fred moved to Taylorsville, Utah where she resided for 44 years and raised her son and daughter. Virginia worked for Granite School District for 20+ years in the cafeteria. She loved interacting with the kids, and she always made them feel loved.

Virginia is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in her various callings making lasting relationships. She loved being a Primary teacher and was always spoiling the kids with treats and small gifts. She enjoyed the outdoors including hunting, fishing, and camping with her family. One of her most favorite memories spent with Fred was a cross-country road trip back east in their 5th wheel to study church history and genealogy. She always had a story to tell about family and her adventurous childhood. Virginia loved animals of all kinds, especially her two dogs, Milly, and Misty. She loved her old western movies, especially those starring John Wayne. She was an avid reader and loved to read and learn about church and world history.

Virginia is survived by two children, Jamie Thompson (Allison), and Rebecca Bevan (Kyle); four grandchildren, Zachary Bevan, Kayla Bevan, Erica Bevan, and Taggart Bevan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, C. Fred Thompson; brother Melvin Besser; parents, Leona Besser and Bennie Besser; and many beloved aunts; uncles; and grandparents.
