Virginia Martinez Velasquez, Our beloved Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully December 29th 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born September 3rd 1937 to Tomas & Rebecca Martinez in Farmington, New Mexico.
She is survived by her children, Ludy Castillo (Bobbi) - Jose Castillo - Tony Castillo (Lisa) - Daughter Kathy Castillo and former Daughter in-law Irma Moran. 11 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren and many wonderful Nieces and Nephews.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, dancing, Spanish music, a great cup of hot black coffee, a bowl of beans with tortillas, and on occasions a bowl of menudo. She enjoyed her Wendover trips if she was winning, not so much if she was losing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving daughter Becky, grandson Devon. And all of her siblings, sisters, Josephine, Guadalupe, Cecilia, Ellie and brother Joe. Her 1st husband Lupe Castillo, 2nd husband Robert Kuikahi and 3rd husband Pete Velasquez.
Visitation Thursday January 05, 2023 from 9am to 10am, Rosary at 10-10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
She will be greatly missed and she was dearly loved.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt 'Thank You' to Rocky Mountain Care Facility and Hospice - All of staff for their compassionate and loving service they gave to our Mom.
