Vivian Kay Kopes (Ditzer) has left this physical world and gone to meet her awaiting family. She was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and she passed away on December 10, 2020 at home in Newhall, California.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia Kopes and son-in-law/step-son Dale Kopes, Newhall, CA; daughter Kim Russell, Salt Lake City UT; step-daughter Rene’ Kopes, Oxnard, CA; niece Vicky Mopin, Salt Lake City, UT; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Regis J. Kopes; (and first husband Ray Roden); her parents, Margaret May Rolfe Ditzer and Melvin K. Ditzer; brothers and sisters: Bruce Ditzer, Sally (Sheldeana) Taxton, June Giles, Ladeane Shammy, Faron Ditzer, Linda Salazar, Raymond Ditzer and Buddy Ditzer.
Vivian was a woman with a beautiful heart and soul. She enjoyed square dancing, bingo, getting her hair done weekly and going to the Utah State Fair as a young girl and when she would visit after moving to California. Along with her own family, she loved her church “family”, her Chihuahua Ginger, and her birds. Spending time with her son-in-law Dale on Sundays was always a treat as he would make her breakfast and dinner and take her out to lunch. When she was younger, she loved to dance with her sister June. One time while she was dancing, she fell in the hall and out the back door and broke her wrist! Her nephew gave her the nickname “twinkle-toe’s”. If you ever met her, you would not forget her kind ways or willingness to listen to you. As her family would like to say, “Keep on twinkling Vivian!”
