Wells C Douglas Our Cousin & Nephew Wells C Douglas was born April 21, 1922 in Gunnison, Utah to Bert and Retha Jensen Douglas and passed away November 7, 2012. He grew up in Magna, Utah and graduated from their local school. He was inducted into the US Army November 6, 1942 and was discharged honorably February 7, 1946. He served in the Burma India campaign of WWII. After returning home, he started a successful TV repair service which he worked at until retirement. His father passed away June 29, 1963 and Wells took care of his mother until she passed away at 101 years of age September 8, 2000. Wells was always interested in photography and took many pictures of the Douglas and Jensen families. Many of us would not know anything about our ancestors, or what they looked like, if it hadn t been for our cousin and aunt. Some of the pictures may not have been very flattering, nonetheless they were shared by all, good along with the bad. Some of us would have been happier to not have our posterity see us looking a far distance from our best. Wells liked new cars and once purchased were well taken care of and kept in top running shape until they were passed on to some lucky recipient buying a good used car. As he grew older, and it was harder to do all the work, he would call his good friend, Miya Katsu. Thanks, Kats, for being such a good and caring friend to Wells. Survived by one uncle, John R Jensen (the same age as he is); and numerous cousins. Thanks for everything Couz, and have a great journey which ever road you follow . . . Wells will be buried next to his mom and dad at a graveside service on Monday, November 12, 2012, 12:00 noon at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South.
