Willa Mae (Brown) Mayne, 89, of West Valley City, Utah passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Willa Mae was born on May 29, 1935, to Robert Everitt and Maude Leora Brown in Canyon City, Colorado. She was married to George Lloyd Mayne for 54 years who preceded her in death as well as her son Gerald Rex and daughter Lynette Kae. She is survived by her youngest son Gregory Rex Mayne, her son-in-law Robert Allen Perisho, Jr, her three grandchildren, Robert Allen (Tiffany) Perisho III, Heather (Brian) Mizula and Johnathan Perisho; and her great-grandchildren Kaelyn, Lily, Robbie, Brielle, Emilia, and Easton. She was a consummate homemaker and devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, reading mystery novels, researching genealogy, completing puzzles, and playing solitaire. Her memory will live on through those whose lives have been touched by her spirit.
An evening viewing will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 6:00-8:00pm at McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Her Memorial Service will be held the following morning, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 10:00am with a viewing one hour prior at the Hunter 17th Ward located at 3745 South 6400 West, West Valley City, Utah.
