William Bloodworth

Born February 12, 1942, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on February 13, 2024.

William (Bill) was preceded in death by his parents Haskell and Golda Bloodworth, his siblings Jerry Bloodworth and Kenny Bloodworth, his loving wife of fifty years Fay, son Darrell, and step-children Tadd Culley and Lauri Pixty.

Bill is survived by his sister Jackie and brother Don; children Goldie, Billy, Jackie, Chris, and Terrence; step-children Daryl Reeves and Brenda Davis, 32 grand kids, and 8 great-grand kids in all.

Bill was born in Colorado, and he moved with his parents to Salt Lake City when he was a child. He worked on farms in Colorado and Utah growing up. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in May of 1958. He married Sylvia Wade and had 2 children and one step-daughter. He was honorably discharged in May 1965. He worked as a tree topper and an appliance and vacuum repair man. He then returned to the armed forces and enlisted into the U.S Army where he served in Germany and fought in the Vietnam war. He had 2 more children with Sylvia (Wade). He was granted a divorce and then remarried Fay Jorgensen (Culley) with her three children. They brought all the children into one home and began to have children together. After being honorably discharged from the Army he began his career as a truck driver after his friend and future brother-in-law Vern (Steven) taught him to drive and introduced him to Fay. He drove 35 years for over 3 million miles with no chargeable accidents. He taught several people to drive including Fay and son Chris. Bill drove for many trucking companies, but he didn't find a home as a driver until Pride Transport in the mid 1980's. He began as a driver and then became a mechanic and worked his way up to shop foreman until his retirement. Bill and Fay enjoyed being married and spending time with family and friends. He had made many friends over the years. He will be missed, loved, and respected by many.
