William Charles "Bill" Murray

William Charles Murray went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 13, 2016 following a lengthy illness at the age of 81. Bill was born February 4, 1935 in Anthon, Iowa to William J. and Lois Taylor Murray. He attended Leads High School and graduated from Central High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Naval Air in Fallon, NV. Bill married Mary Ann Steffen in 1953 in Sioux City, IA and they had five children. They moved their young family to Utah in 1965. He loved Jesus and His Word. He was an accomplished athlete in football, baseball, golf, and bowling. He loved his dogs Lady, Casey and Mickey. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary; his daughters: Linda (Chuck) Oliver, Kathy Moll (fianc, Dennis Lake); son Michael; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Diane; and son, William R. Murray. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to everyone from Millcreek Hospice who respectfully cared for Bill and special heartfelt thanks to Sarah, who cared for his family. A viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
