William Kenneth Peterson

William Kenneth Peterson, beloved great-grandfather, grandfather, father, uncle, brother, and son, passed away in hospice surrounded by family and friends, August 7, 2015. He was born to Kenneth Peterson (deceased) and Doris L Rucker Wasden in Tremonton, Utah. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints near Dallas, Texas. He married Carrol Jones and had 7 children - Val Kenneth, married to Melissa, resides in Mounds, Oklahoma; Julane Justusson resides in Euless, Texas; Marvin Dean, Ogden Utah; Wayne Lyle, married to Sheri, resides Poplar Grove, Illinois; Marilyn Darling, married to Michael, Ogden Utah; Daniel Gene, married to Carrol Lee, West Valley City, Utah; and Hans Quinten, married to Amanda, Clearfield, Utah. Bill will be dearly missed and remembered for his smart humor and kind gentle nature. He is survived by his 7 children, his mother, his sister Marva Mae Peterson Braun, Salt Lake City, Utah and her 3 children - Stacey Lynette Wood, Cindee Lynn Montoya, and Shawn William Walker, his brother Jeffrey Peterson, 14 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. His family also includes 9 step brothers and sisters - Thelma Peterson, Lariece Massey, Edna Cutler, Norma Brock, Hugh (deceased); Bernice (deceased); Janet Renae Gilley; Susan and Virgil Bird; and Morris Wade Jr. and Penney. He attended Tremonton grade school, Bryant Jr. High in Salt Lake City, Granger Senior High, a semester of BYU, and Weber State College in Ogden Utah where he earned a certificate for aircraft instrument repair. He was employed at Hill Air Force Base for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his step father, Morris F. Wade. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 10, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Apple Farms Ward, 3751 South 2200 West. A viewing will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Interment Beaver Dam Cemetery, Collinston, Utah.
