William (Bill) Woolf passed away on October 9, 2022 in Riverton, Utah. He was born February 9, 1936 in Calgary, Alberta. His parents were Lena Stewart Woolf Ross and Victor Amos Hyde Woolf. His parents divorced and he was sealed in the temple to Donald Kendal Ross, whom he loved and claimed as his father. He has three brothers; Victor Vernon Woolf, Timothy Kenneth Woolf (deceased), and Gary Stewart Woolf (deceased) and Cindy Ross Behr, his little sister.
His highest priority in fulfilling his life's mission was his eternal companion Maureen Jensen Woolf and his children David Keith Woolf (deceased), Raymond Mark Woolf (Georgette), Barbara Loreen Woolf Christiansen (Todd Christiansen), Deanna Woolf Leach, and Carolyn Kay Woolf Hansen (Spencer Hansen). At the present time he has 23 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
He served a full-time mission call to British Columbia and since that time has placed the Lord Jesus Christ and His church first, serving in many capacities. He never tired of any kind of learning and particularly enjoyed studying scripture. He completed 12 years of public schooling and 13 years of university, earning four degrees.
After his education, he was a professor of education at Utah State University. He later was the State Director of the Colorado Board of Community Colleges and Occupational Education in and eventually owned multiple businesses.
Bill spent most of his 'recreational' time counseling others. He was always willing to help others and derived great joy as he helped others love themselves, strengthen marriages, and become closer to Jesus Christ.
In his later years, he, Maureen, and daughters developed a new approach to helping youth be successful in school learning by training stronger cognitive processing skills.
Bill was happiest when serving people and helping them navigate the challenges of their lives.
