Wilma Kathleen Hambleton Aiken "Kathy" Taylorsville, UT Our loving mom, sister, aunt and friend, Kathleen Aiken, passed away November 3, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Kathy was born April 4, 1941 to James and Wilma Watrous Adams in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Sheldon Aiken and together they had three children: Jody, Dan and Jason. Kathy worked as a correctional officer for the Salt Lake County Jail where she retired as a Lieutenant after 20+ years of service. Due to her small stature and fearless attitude, she was affectionately known as Mighty Mouse by her coworkers. She loved spending time with her sons who were the light of her life. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing the lottery and dark cherry chocolates. She had a soft spot for all animals, especially the many who managed to find their way to her front door. Kathy is survived by her sisters: Sharon Callahan and MaryLynne Nageli Fitzgerald; sons: Dan and Jason (Angie) Aiken; and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband; and daughter, Jody Aiken. Her kindness, intelligence and unique sense of humor will be greatly missed from this world. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 8, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, 12-12:45 p.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
