"So Loved" Mary Yulene Anderson Rushton, our SO LOVED mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister, age 80, returned home surrounded by angels, to our Heavenly Father on March 26, 2018. She was born June 20, 1937 to Ewell Tenus Anderson and Mary Ione Jensen Anderson in Fountain Green, Utah. Married Norman Park Rushton September 18, 1954; later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Together for 55 years, before his passing in 2009, they raised a family of 4 children in Granger, Utah. Besides being a homemaker and a mother, Yulene worked at Winder Dairy in the billing office for 18 years, Pioneer Valley Hospital as a switch board operator, Harmon City as a cashier and West Lake Jr. High as the Seminary Secretary. Mom loved and enjoyed beautiful music of all kinds. She played the piano and organ and also loved to sing with her sister on many occasions. She was very dedicated to her church callings, serving in many church positions and teaching in every organization. Yulene was a member of the Utah DUP. Mom loved gardening, sewing, loved tying quilts and was an excellent cook. She loved old antiques, and painting on canvas. She enjoyed her grandkids immensely. She took great joy and pride in all her family and friends. Mom had a deep seeded love for everyone. Mom was a member of the Utah League of Writers. Mom's passion was writing. She won numerous awards as well as having many of her writings published. Yulene is survived by her 4 children Tawnya (Hector) Tapia, Joni (Dave) Warr, Doug (Peggy) Rushton, Blake Rushton (Lorri Alires); 29 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brother Gayle; and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018, 12:00 noon at Granger West 3rd Ward, 3901 West 2925 South. Viewings will be held Tuesday, April 3rd, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and again on Wednesday prior to services at the church from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
